Print&Go acquires Astroprint, the popular cloud-based 3D printing software
Hello Print&Go community, we’ve got some exciting news to share with you today... We are thrilled to announce that we’ve acquired Astroprint! 🚀
Why Astroprint?
We know you’re probably curious about what this means for Print&Go and how it will impact you. So, let’s dive into the details and give you the full scoop!
Astroprint has been a leader in the 3D printing community, especially among makers and educators. Their cloud-based platform is super user-friendly, making 3D printing accessible to everyone.
Bringing Astroprint into the Print&Go family means we’re combining the best of both worlds: Astroprint’s simplicity and community spirit with Print&Go’s powerful professional tools and AI-driven features.
We're on a mission to make 3D printing better, faster, and smarter for our users. By joining forces with Astroprint, we're expanding our community in a big way! With more fresh ideas, essential feedback, and cutting-edge innovations, we're welcoming a whole new level of excitement. This is something we're genuinely thrilled about!
Our commitment to Astroprint community
One thing we want to make clear: Astroprint will remain free for its current home users. We respect the platform’s roots and the vibrant community that has grown around it. Our goal is to build on the platform's foundations, rather than make any radical changes.
That being said, we recognize that the platform hasn't had any updates in a while, and we're excited to change that! We've put together a list of what you can look forward to in the next few months:
- Server optimizations with the goal of enhancing performance.
- Bug fixes are being applied to address any remaining issues.
- More printer models will be connected to Astroprint.
- Exclusive material deals for Premium, Pledge, and Kickstarter users.
- Upgrading Slicer Engines to newer versions with new functionalities.
- Astroprint Mobile App update to make it compatible with the latest versions of Android and iOS.
